Parish Profile: our present

worship

We strive to worship God through common prayer, sharing in Holy Eucharist, and music that readies us to be God’s light in the world.

We feel strongly that music and worship are important pieces of our well-being as a congregation. When we come together to a common table for Holy Eucharist, and experience beautiful music, we are spiritually renewed.

An active lay leadership is essential in our worship. This includes speaking roles like proclaiming Holy Scripture, silent but visible service as a Eucharistic minister or usher; behind the scenes ministry as a soundboard volunteer, altar or flower guild member. Specially trained lay Eucharistic visitors take communion out to members who are home-bound or hospitalized and cannot join us at the table in worship. There is an opportunity for every personality to assist in creating beautiful worship that turns our hearts and minds to God.

And whether it's the sound of a choir rehearsing, an organ recital, or a congregation joyfully singing hymns, music is always happening here. Boasting five choirs and Colorado's oldest pipe organ, we are a regional music destination. Our offerings are diverse, drawing from a rich tradition and celebrating modern contributions to sacred music. Bell choirs and voice choirs for all abilities enhance our worship, provide music education and build community.
