ADULT PROGRAMS

Adult Bible Study, Tuesdays, 9:30-11:00am, Maglaras Hall

All adults are invited to join in deepening our understanding and experience of our Christian faith and Judeo-Christian heritage.

Beginning Tuesday, April 22, the weekly Adult Bible Study will return to the early letters of Paul written before the Gospel of Mark. Philemon and Philippians are two short texts consisting of one and four chapters, respectively. In Philemon, we recognize the tension between the liberating message of the Gospel and the widely accepted practice of slavery in the Roman Empire. In Philippians, Paul’s largely upbeat letter from prison addresses contentment, thanksgiving, joy, perseverance, and the certainty of answered prayer when life is lived fully in Christ.

For more information and to be added to the Bible Study email list, contact Ann Cairns at biblestudy@holycomforterchurch.net
