Parish Profile: our future

in 5-10 years

We asked our worshipping community where they saw Holy Comforter in 5 years and in 10 years.

On January 5, 2020, approximately 85 parishioners 7th grade and up, identified their most pressing concerns for the next 5-10 years:

• Exploring property and land use 

• Creating a master redevelopment plan

• Focusing on engagement of youth & their parents

• Growing in diversity in all of its forms

• Using social media, communication processes, and our website more creatively

• Incorporating different styles of church services

• Developing more welcoming, less traditional spaces

• Repurposing the library or create new space for quiet spiritual use

We look forward to deeper conversations about these and other ideas when we are joined by our new rector. We remain filled with excitement and believe our future looks bright as we seek our partner in ministry.
